For English-speaking users: International Working Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. In USSR it was started as a Socialist political event; today in countries in the Soviet Bloc the holiday lost its political flavor, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women (mother, wife, daughter, friend...) in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.
